The Best Barbeque Shrimp (and Easiest!)

Barbeque Shrimp

Barbeque shrimp can be a disaster. People have a habit of overcooking the shrimp. This recipe is foolproof because you use bacon.

The bacon prevents you from over cooking because you wrap the shrimp in the bacon. Isn't that a great idea?

Ingredients

  • 8 rashers Sliced bacon
  • 8 jumbo raw shrimp or prawns
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cup water

Directions

  1. Dissolve sugar and salt in the water.
  2. Marinate shrimp in sugar/salt brine solution for 1 hour.
  3. Meanwhile parboil the bacon for 2 minutes.
  4. Dry the shrimp and bacon.
  5. Peel the shrimp and wrap with the bacon.
  6. Secure the bacon with toothpicks or soaked bammboo skewers.
  7. Grill over medium hot coals 2 minutes on each side.
  8. Brush with your favorite barbeque sauce and serve or eat just the way they are.
Enjoy!
