Barbeque Brisket Rub

All Around Barbeque Brisket Rub

This one of my favorite barbeque brisket rubs. It’s simple and has good balance in the savory flavors with just a touch of heat.

You will always create a good brisket dish with this rub. This rub is also a little hotter than most. You can try different types of paprika to give it some variation by using the sweet, smoked, or hot variety of paprika.

Add it to your recipe file for great brisket rubs.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup paprika
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon cayenne

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together
  2. Sprinkle on brisket and pat, avoid rubbing the rub away. You want it to cover the meat completely.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  4. Smoke the brisket following the “How to Barbeque” directions.

Enjoy!
