Have You Ever Wished That You Could Cook Great Smoked Barbeque?

It's easy with the know how of "low and slow" smoked barbeque cooking. You can go from being just a simple hot dog and hamburger grill cook to preparing outstanding smoked ribs, pulled pork, and brisket and become the toast of friends and family at your next cookout.

Hi, my name is Tony McRae and welcome to my backyard. First I want to say that I am not a professional barbeque cook. I just love barbeque. Over the years I've become a skilled barbeque chef, chronicler, and passionate buff for all things barbeque.



My backyard is the site of many memorable barbeque creations. Along with the barbeque meats we've cooked many southern style side dishes that had family and friends asking for more!

My goal is to share our barbeque experiences by making note of all aspects of our barbeque obsession. As a visitor to this website you're invited to my backyard to learn about barbeque.


This site is aimed at the fledgling barbecue cook by providing tips,techniques, recommendations and the basic skill set needed for cooking real barbeque because we think that cooking great "Q" is very much an art.


Anyone can learn the art and this site is the resource for teaching you how its done. This site is also a great place for barbeque recipes.

You can find out; How much smokiness is just right? Should the meat have a sweetness or stand on its own? What type of vinegar adds just enough bite to the sauce? Tomato based or mustard?
