A remote barbecue meat smoker thermometer is one of those things that allows you to be precise and to save time. I didn’t realize what a wonderful tool it would be until I used it. If you are doing one of those all night cooks of brisket or pork butts these things make it less tiring because you are not constantly checking the meat. It lets you know that things are proceeding correctly and if there are any problems. I was cooking once thinking that things were okay and we had a storm roll through one night and the temperature dropped alot. The unit let me notice that the meat temp was not rising as it should and I had to respond to it by putting a jacket on my smoker to keep the temperature consistent.
