Olive Tree Salad Dressing

Olive Tree Salad Dressing

This is a pretty good Italian salad dressing recipe. It can be punched up with red pepper flakes or you can make it a little sweeter by adding sugar.

Either way it’s one of those dressing that you can eat every day. It’s been modified a little but credit for this recipe goes to the Military recipes site.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable or canola oil
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoons grated Romono cheese
  • 2 Tablespoons dry pectin
  • 2 Tablespoons beaten egg or egg substitute
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • pinch of oregano pinch of red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. Combine all in a blender on medium to high speed for 30 to 40 seconds
  2. Refrigerate overnight or at least 3 hours.
  3. Serve on salad, vegetables or use as a marinate.
  4. This is great stuff!

Enjoy!
