Why Use a Meat Injector?

A meat injector marinade adds great flavor to turkey, chicken, pork, or beef. Most of us (especially new cooks), are not used to making use of a meat injector but they are fairly easy to use.

When injecting, be sure to inject in the thickest part of the meat and inject in a pattern that cover the majority of the surface.

We recommend having a couple of sizes (6 ounce and 9 ounce sizes). Try to avoid the plastic models because they don’t last very long. Look for the metal injectors.

Meat-InjectorFor the best results, coat the plunger in oil before using and don’t use ingredients in the marinade that would clog the holes in the needle. ItÂ’s best to use powdered spices, oils, vinegar, or clear fruit juices in the marinade.

Use a blender to combine ingredients and emulsify oils.

When done using the injector, hand wash quickly before any of the marinade dries inside. Store the needle in the injector chamber to avoid losing.
